S3 File Gateway​

  • Most recently used data is cached in the file gateway.
  • Bucket access using IAM roles for each File Gateway.

Volume Gateway​

  • Cached Volumes
  • Stored Volumes: entire dataset on prem, scheduled backups to S3.
